Ranbir Kapoor’s Sister Riddhima Sahni Reacts To Him Being Called ‘Misogynist’, Says Alia Bhatt ‘Doesn’t Care’

Actors Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt are the most talked about celebrity couple in Bollywood and, as a result, are often subjected to scrutiny. Ranbir Kapoor has often been called a ‘misogynist,’ or has been labeled ‘unsupportive’ after Alia’s interviews have been misunderstood. Amid this, Ranbir’s sister, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, has opened up about how Alia and the actor react to these trolls.

Speaking to Zoom, Riddhima said that Alia and Ranbir are happy together and do not care for what people say about them. “They adore each other. They’ve created the most beautiful ever child, Raha. She is so, so adorable. They are amazing parents. So, I don’t think they really care about what people say,” she said.

Riddhima also lauded her sister-in-law Alia and said, “She’s a great girl. Alia is amazing. Like how she is with my mom also now, she’s just amazing. Her whole family, mom, sister, dad, they are all very kind people. Even her maasi, we love her.” She added, “Alia is actually a very warm and giving person. I’ve said this all the time, she’s a really nice human. Whenever she does something, she does it dil se, wholeheartedly. She will go out and make sure it’s done.”

Riddhima herself is dealing with newfound fame after her debut in Fabulous Lives vs Bollywood Wives. She was also subject to criticism and trolling after the show aired. She maintained that while she did not pay heed to what the trolls said about her, she doesn’t take it lightly when something is said about her family. “I’m nothing like that. I’m a very simple girl. I love being at home with my family. I love being with my family. I rarely go out; I barely socialize… I don’t even bother about trolls. Trolls are trolls because of a reason. Why highlight them and give them importance?”

“Like I said, logon ka kaam hai bolna, woh toh bolege. People have always been saying nasty things, and negative things, but why let negativity get to you? You focus on all the positives.” She added, “I really don’t care. You can say whatever you like about me. It makes no difference. But don’t say things about my family. That’s when the horns actually come out,” she concluded.
